NOTE: all Liam Neeson action fans, this is a subtle DRAMA, and NOT a violent gangster movie AT ALL. Best suited for art house audiences! The good side: Liam Neeson is still acting in solid movies at his age. He still convincingly portrays these old gangster characters with heart. And this story is about getting older and approaching the end of life and trying to rebuild long lost family ties. It’s not a gripping drama, but it’s quite slow and subtle and for those interested in the genre, it might be worth watching, but don’t expect fireworks: I love watching Liam Neeson in his brutal roles as an old gangster, fighting and shooting bad guys. But this movie has very little of that, so it got a bit boring in the middle NOT suitable for fans of Liam Neeson action movies.
